Last Saturday (6th of August) marked the 1 year anniversary of our first concert with Gangar! Our first concert was a nervous experience with a setlist filled with brand new arrangements, and a bunch of complicated and scary technical thingydoos with confusing names. This was especially foreign to me, due to my background in acoustic music. Our first concert was at a small, yet up-and-coming open-air festival named "Eufemiadagene", named after Queen Eufemia, who ruled in Oslo during the medieval ages.
1 year later on the exact same date we got to celebrate by playing a concert at the exact same festival for an wonderful audience of around 40 people, including close friends, family, and girlfriends. This was the perfect way to celebrate, and almost felt like it was "meant to be". We obviously ended the evening with a roaring afterparty at our appartment with several audience members.
It was fun to see how both our band and the festival had evolved over one year! We came back with a set with tunes that we know as well as the back of our hand and a confident stage show, and the festival could present us on a newly constructed stage, instead of last years tent! We had a very good sound technician, who used some interesting tricks like delaying signals by a few m/s to fix fazeing issues (no idea what he was talking about), but it sounded great! Oskar and i even went out in the audience during our favorite riffs and headbanged..
